Some weeks ago I asked if we had any designers in our Editors colleague group, and Kevin Walker spoke up. I very happily worked with him on a big project (ongoing, but first rushed phase over). We had so much fun and the client's been successful with the proposals so far. Good design really makes content POP, doesn't it? I haven't been this thrilled with a design for years.
Working with Kevin is a real delight. He's willing, speedy, friendly, knowledgeable and versatile, and pretty inspired. I just absolutely love how he came up with a document motif based on the swirl in the client's logo. And when the client let us know it was a rush job, he also pulled together the designs faster than I actually thought was possible to do.
The only side effect I would warn you about on hiring Kevin is that you might start getting a really irresistible urge to go to South Africa! His joie de vivre just makes it seem like it would be so fun.
